“…when we first came to live with my grandparents.”

It sounds like Kristopher is in kinship foster care, where a close family member will take care of the children instead of sending them to a foster family they don’t know.  I love the fact that his Nana knew how important it was to help him feel comfy and cozy when he first came to live with her, so she made sure he had pjs for him.  I hope he continues to love reading and learning about friendship and bugs and many other stories!

“I did not get pajamas, only books.  They are good books.  They teach you to be kind and caring.  It teaches you about allergies, about friendship and when you feellonely what you can do.

The books tell about all kinds of bugs.

I really like the story about Johnny Appleseed, Rosa Parks and all the other books.

At Bed time I take a shower, brush my teeth.  Family devotion, read a book, go to sleep.  I hug and love my Nana, Papa, Joash my brother Tyler and my sister LeighAnne.  I love on my dog Huey and Cats Wendy and Miss Kitty.

I like pajamas that my Nana got me.  She went to the store and got PJ’s for me when we first came to live with my grandparents.

I like to read because it helps me to learn many things and to read better.”

About pajamaprogram

Pajama Program provides new pajamas and new books to children in need, many who are waiting and hoping to be adopted. Thousands of the children we serve live in group homes and shelters and are shuffled often between temporary living facilities. Many of them have been abused or abandoned, and have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a mother or father tuck them in at bedtime and read to them. Since 2001 we have provided more than one million pajamas and books to children in need nationwide. Our Pajama Program segments on NBC’s The TODAY Show which aired in December , 2008 and The Oprah Winfrey Show, which aired August, 2008 and twice in 2007, helped us grow to 79 chapters in 42 States nationwide.
